• Projects with a potentially negative impact on the environment

    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42502186) and the date (1/6/1442), in which the letter of the Public Transport Authority is referred to No. (4863/42/1) and the date (20/5/1442 ) containing In it to the Royal Order No. (13662) dated (3/20/1438) to direct the government agencies responsible for projects related to the environment, and the government agencies responsible for licensing projects with a potential negative impact on the environment to do the following:​

    -Establishing environmental protection units from pollution through which they adhere to the environmental regulations, standards, and standards issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection.

    -Providing the General Authority of Meteorology and Environment with information on the environmental status of the establishments within its facilities on an ongoing basis.
    -Enabling observers of the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection to enter facilities to inspect, monitor pollution levels, and see the implementation of the general environment system, following the general regulation for the environment issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 34) dated (7/28/1422).​

    Accordingly, the Council hopes that the concerned committee, as well as affiliates, investors, and carriers who have transport contracts or projects with a potential negative impact on the environment, shall comply with the environmental regulations, standards, and standards issued by the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection.​
